Redfern's Tent Embassy not budging

Members of Redfern's Aboriginal tent embassy say they will have to be physically removed from a site marked for a multi-million dollar redevelopment.

The Aboriginal Housing Corporation issued the group with an eviction notice on Friday, ordering them to leave the inner Sydney area known as The Block on Monday.

It's the corporation's latest bid to evict the group, which it accuses of trespassing on its land since the embassy was established last May.

Tent embassy member Jenny Munro says they are not going anywhere.

"They will have to move us physically," she said in a statement.

Ms Munro said the eviction was part of an attempt to push Aboriginal people out of Redfern.
