Probe launched after Sydney balcony injury

An investigation is underway after a man was seriously injured jumping from a balcony in Sydney's north.
Police say they were called to the Neutral Bay apartment complex shortly before midnight on Saturday in response to concerns about a man on a balcony.
It's alleged the 34-year-old became violent towards officers.

Police say they tried unsuccessfully to restrain the man with a Taser before the man jumped and landed on another balcony.
Emergency services rescued the man and he was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious condition.
