Police operation underway at Narrabeen after concern for welfare

A police operation is underway at an address in Narrabeen in northern Sydney after officers received information about a concern for welfare.

Police arrived on Ocean Street just before 1pm and evacuated nearby residents.

There are unconfirmed reports a man has barricaded himself inside a home.

The street has been blocked between Malcolm Street and Narrabeen bridge.

Police are requesting traffic and pedestrians avoid the area.
