Police officer hurt after Sydney chase

A police officer has been injured while attempting to arrest a driver who reversed into a police car during a chase through western Sydney.
Police pursued the driver, who failed to stop after almost colliding with another vehicle in Penrith just before 3pm on Friday, and the officer suffered a cut to his arm when he tried to arrest the man at a set of traffic lights.
The man fled from the scene while a woman who was also in the car was arrested and taken to Penrith police station where she is helping police.
