UPDATE: Man to face court over stabbing murder of flatmate in Sydney's west

A man will face court today charged with murder over a fatal stabbing in Sydney's west last night. 

The 36-year-old is accused of attacking his 62-year-old flatmate at their home in Wetherill Park just before 7pm. 

He then reportedly went to a neighbour's house and told them to call triple zero. 

Paramedics arrived and tried to resuscitate the victim but he died at the scene. 

His flatmate was arrested nearby. 

The man was refused bail overnight to face Parramatta Local Court today.
