A woman has led police on a wild 100km pursuit in a stolen postal van on the NSW south coast and ended up in a paddock.

The van was stolen while the postman was delivering a parcel in Nowra on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

It was driven south to a home in Sanctuary Point, where it hit two parked cars and a letter box.

A police pursuit started but was called off due to safety concerns, but when the van was spotted in Kiama, road spikes were used to deflate its tyres.

The driver continued to the small town of Minnamurra and was arrested when the van drove off Swamp Road through a fence into a paddock.

The 30-year-old woman has been charged with a raft of offences. She was refused bail and is due to appear before Wollongong Local Court on Thursday.
