When officers arrived they found a 19-year-old man with a minor cut to his head.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to St Vincent's Hospital.

A 49-year-old man was arrested and questioned at Newtown Police Station.

It is believed the fight may have stemmed from an earlier road-rage incident on the Warringah Freeway nearby.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
