Officer's tooth broken in violent arrest

A female police officer has suffered a broken tooth during a violent arrest in western Sydney.

The senior constable was allegedly elbowed in the face and kicked in the shin as she tried to arrest a 35-year-woman who had returned to a St Mary's house she was evicted from last week.

The woman has been charged with resisting arrest, assaulting police, and entering enclosed lands.

An 18-year-old man who was with her has been charged with resisting arrest and entering enclosed lands.

Both were refused bail to appear before Penrith Local Court on Tuesday.
