Two dead after horror ute crash in NSW's central west
Two people have died after a horror crash in the NSW central west overnight, ending a tragic weekend on the state's roads.
A ute travelling along Henry Lawson Way in Ooma, around 56km from Parkes, crashed into a tree about 10.20pm yesterday.
Emergency services arrived at the scene to find the ute had caught fire.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze however the two people inside the ute died at the scene.
The driver and passenger are yet to be formally identified.
The double fatality in Ooma follows five other deaths on NSW roads over the past 48 hours.
Two people died in Armidale, northern NSW, following a fatal crash on the weekend.
One cyclist, aged in his 60s, died at the scene after a car and several bike riders collided about 3.30pm on Saturday.
The driver of the car, a 30-year-old woman, died in hospital after the crash.

Another man, aged 26, died when a ute and truck collided at 2am yesterday near Tomingley, south of Dubbo.
The driver of a ute also died after a single car crash yesterday in Wee Waa, 41km north-west of Narrabri, about 11.25am.
And a man aged in his 40s was killed when two trucks crashed on the Hume Highway near Gunning on the NSW Southern Tablelands about 11.15pm on Friday.
So far in 2024 there have been 328 lives lost on NSW roads.
