NSW teacher bailed over student assaults

A Sydney teacher accused of molesting students during the past four years has been granted bail but must stay away from all schools and children.

The 60-year-old, who can't be identified, has been charged with 12 counts of aggravated indecent assault and was granted bail following a brief hearing at Sutherland Local Court on Thursday.

He is due to return to court on June 30 and in the meantime must remain in Australia but avoid places where children congregate and must not be in the company of anyone under 18 years old.
