Stolen cars, forklifts and engines have been seized by police who say they have cracked a car re-birthing factory.

Three men have been charged after raids at a factory yard in Punchbowl and a repair shop in Bankstown on Friday.

More than 20 dismantled vehicles, believed to have been stolen from Sydney's inner west, southwest and eastern suburbs earlier this month, were seized along with three forklifts and 17 engines, police said.

A 43-year-old Revesby man was arrested after police allegedly found tools used in the vehicle thefts in his car.

A 20-year-old Casula man was arrested at the Bankstown repair shop.

Both have been charged with facilitating organised vehicle rebirthing and participating in a criminal group.

After further investigations police on Monday charged a 24-year-old Kingsgrove man with offences including facilitating organised vehicle rebirthing activities.
