NSW multi-car crash leaves woman dead

A woman has died following a multi-car crash in western Sydney.
Witnesses told police the crash at Northmead on Wednesday afternoon happened when a white Hyundai Imax crossed onto the wrong side of the road and collided with another car as it tried to re-enter the correct lane.
The Hyundai lost control, colliding with an oncoming car and a truck before coming to a stop, police said.

The woman driving the Hyundai died at the scene, while a 17-year-old girl travelling with her was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
No one else was hurt.
