Two NSW men have been charged with online child grooming offences after officers posing as teenagers were allegedly asked to meet for sexual activity.

A 29-year-old man from Bathurst thought he was talking to a 14-year-old girl when he made numerous sexually explicit comments in December last year, police say.

On Thursday he was charged with two online child grooming offences and was granted strict conditional bail before an expected appearance at Bathurst Local Court next month.

Meanwhile, in August last year a 20-year-old man from Orange made sexually explicit comments online to someone he thought was a 14-year-old boy.

On Friday he was charged with using a carriage service to groom persons under 16 years of age for sexual activity. He's been granted strict conditional bail and is due to face Orange Local Court next month.
