NSW man knocked down by car, then robbed

A man has been robbed after he was knocked down by a car in an inner-city Sydney suburb.

The 27-year-old man was walking along a street in Marrickville in the early hours of Saturday morning when he noticed he was being followed by a black SUV.

He went to cross the street but was struck by the vehicle. Several males got out the car and threatened him into handing over his wallet and phone.

He suffered minor injuries in the incident.
