NSW ELECTION IN NUMBERS

- More than 5.15 million voters expected to be enrolled by election day.

- NSW has changed government five times since the mid-1960s

- Election is for all 93 seats in the lower house of parliament and 21 members, or half, of the Legislative Council

- About 60,000 pens, which replace pencils for the first time, will be issued to fill out ballot papers

- More than 2.9 million ordinary votes expected plus 320,000 absent votes, 826,000 pre-poll votes, 339,000 postal votes, up to 200,000 people outside the state expected to use iVote.
