Women ‘targeted’ by e-bike rider on popular Sydney walking trail
Police are hunting for information after a number of women were allegedly sexually assaulted by a man on an e-bike while walking a popular trail in Sydney’s northern beaches.
All five alleged incidents were reported in the Narrabeen area with the first reportedly happening at about 4pm last Wednesday, when a woman was walking along the suburb’s Lagoon Trail.
Women told police that in each incident an unknown man approached them on the North Sydney walking trail before they were allegedly sexually touched moments before he made off on an e-bike.
In one incident at about 3.15pm last Thursday, he allegedly also made inappropriate sexual comments to a woman running along the Narrabeen Lake track.
He is described as a caucasian in his 20s, of medium build, with dark brown hair, wearing long black pants and a blue shirt.
Police launched an investigation solely to investigate the string of incidents and on Monday they received another recount from a woman of an alleged sexual assault.
Two women walking along the Narrabeen Lagoon alleged that on Monday, between 5pm and 5.30pm they were sexually touched by a person riding on an e-bike.
Nine.com.au understands one of the women says she was groped in broad daylight by the attacker, who rode off without looking back.

At about 5.30pm on last Thursday, in a similar incident at Billabong Reserve a woman exercising along the track was approached by a man on an e-bike who allegedly sexually touched her before riding off.
Police are now investigating whether the events are linked and if multiple offenders are responsible.
Anyone with information, mobile phone footage, dashcam footage, or who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area is urged to contact Crime Stoppers.
