Murder charge after NSW man's death

A man has been charged with murder after another man, found with severe head injuries at a home in NSW's central west, died in hospital.

Emergency services were called to the home in Forbes with reports a man had been injured around 1.20am on Sunday.

They found the 31-year-old on the front lawn with significant head injuries.

He was taken to Forbes Hospital but was pronounced dead later in the morning.

A crime scene was established at the home and a 37-year-old man was arrested at another residence on the other side of town later on Sunday.

He was charged with murder.

Police allege the man and the victim were involved in a violent confrontation prior to the death.

The man will appear in Forbes Local Court on Monday.
