Man's body found in search for missing swimmer at NSW beach
Police are working to formally identify the body of a man found at a popular beach south of Sydney five days after the disappearance of an international student.
Swimmers reported a man went into the water and did not re-appear at Fairy Meadow Beach in Wollongong at 6.40pm on Sunday night.
A man's body was pulled from the water at the same beach this morning after 8am.

Emergency services from NSW Police, NSW Marine Rescue and Surf Life Saving NSW carried out an extensive search of the beach but crews were unable to find the missing swimmer.
Surf life-savers faced challenging conditions during their search on Tuesday with the swell doubling in size for several hours.
Multiple searches have been carried out with inflatable boats, jet skis and drones this week.
Local media has reported the missing swimmer is believed to be a 28-year-old international student from the University of Wollongong.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
