Man stabbed in buttock during daylight Sydney brawl

A man was stabbed in the buttock in a brawl at a Sydney apartment building this morning.

Emergency services were called to the unit block on Lyell Place, Cartwright, after reports a brawl broke out about 9am today.

When officers got there, they found he had been stabbed in the buttock.

Cameras filmed the victim puffing on a cigarette as he was placed on the stretcher and taken to Liverpool Hospital.

It is not yet clear how the man was injured, but authorities believe it may have occurred outside the unit block.
