Man hit with gun in Sydney's west

A 40-year-old man has been hit in the head with a gun during a confrontation in Sydney's west.
The victim was taken to Bankstown Hospital in a stable condition with a head injury after the assault in Greenacre on Monday night.
Police say two men ran from the scene on Greenacre Road at about 8pm, while early investigations suggest a single shot was fired during the fight.
