Man hit by van in Sydney CBD critical

A man is fighting for life in hospital after being hit by a van in Sydney's CBD.
Police say the pedestrian, understood to be in his 40s, was hit by the vehicle on Elizabeth Street just after 11am on Friday.
He was treated at the scene before being rushed to St Vincent's Hospital, while the driver of the van was taken to hospital for blood and urine testing.
