Man fights off home invader in Marayong

A man has removed a screwdriver from his arm before fighting off a would-be burglar, who had also repeatedly bitten him.

The man fought back against the man, who he found in his home, punching him in the face and then detaining him until police arrived.

The 46-year-old attacker, who seemingly got more than he bargained for, was charged with break and enter, intent to cause grievous bodily harm, resist arrest and assault.

The 31-year-old man who fought at the Marayong residence was taken to Blacktown hospital for treatment and is in a stable condition.
