A West Australian man, arrested after a police pursuit on the NSW Central Coast, is set to be extradited to his home state over the murder of a Perth father of two.

The 38-year-old man was wanted over the death of Malcolm Benjamin Boyd Taylor, whose body is yet to be found.

A police chase started on Wednesday after local officers spotted a blue Holden Commodore with stolen Western Australian registration plates.

The male driver, from Banksia Grove in WA, crashed into a rear fence of a house at The Entrance, and was arrested by police.

A woman and a six-year-old girl who were passengers in the car were not hurt in the crash, police said.

The 38-year-old is due to appear in Wyong Local Court on Thursday, where detectives from WA will apply for his extradition to Perth.

Mr Taylor was last seen on April 29 and reported missing on May 6.
