Man drowns on NSW mid north coast after being pulled out by rip
A man has died after being pulled from the water on NSW's mid north coast.
At about 3.20pm yesterday, emergency services were called to a beach near Point Polmer Road in Crescent Head following reports that a 59-year-old man was struggling in the water after being pulled out by a rip.
Bystanders pulled the man from the water and rendered aid before paramedics arrived.

The 59-year-old man died at the scene.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has begun, and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
