Man killed after being thrown from motorbike on the Hume Highway near Holbrook

A man has died and a woman is in hospital after a motorbike crash in NSW's Riverina.

The 65-year-old man suffered serious injuries after he was thrown from his motorbike on the Hume Highway, about 20 kilometres from Holbrook, on Friday afternoon, police said.

He was airlifted to Canberra Hospital but died en route.

His passenger, a 56-year-old woman, suffered multiple fractures and was also flown to hospital.
