Man dies at Newcastle workplace

A 41-year-old man has died after suffering a head injury at a workshop in Newcastle.

The man was discovered injured on the ground at the workshop in the suburb of Waratah just after 6.30pm on Tuesday.

"It looks as though he has collapsed or fallen and suffered a head injury," police said on Wednesday morning.

Paramedics called to the site were unable to revive the man and he died shortly afterwards.

Police are still establishing the full circumstances but are not treating the death as suspicious.
