Man dies after hitting tree in DV incident

A man has died after an alleged domestic dispute north west of Sydney.

Police say they were called to Fairey Rd in South Windsor to reports of domestic violence to find a distraught man sitting in a car about 2pm on Tuesday.

When police arrived, they say the man accelerated away from them and hit a tree.

The man, whose age has not been provided, died at the scene.

A critical incident investigation into the circumstances is underway.
