Man charged over threats to pizza driver

A hungry customer who dialled a pizza and then allegedly threatened the delivery driver with a machete before stealing his pizzas has been refused bail.

The driver, 37, delivered the pizza to a unit in Kingswood in Sydney's west on Wednesday afternoon, where he was confronted by the man wielding a machete, police say.

The man snatched the pizzas and fled on foot towards the Great Western Highway.

Police say they arrested a 23-year-old man in Kingswood the next day.

He's been charged with robbery armed with an offensive weapon, refused bail and will face Parramatta Local Court on Thursday.
