Man charged over fatal Sydney stabbing

A man has been charged over the fatal stabbing of another man in Sydney's west.

Emergency services found the 48-year-old victim on a Schofields street just after 11.30pm on Saturday.

He had a number of stab wounds and died a short time after being taken to hospital, police said.

A 27-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday at a home in Riverstone, in northwest Sydney, and charged with murder.

He's due to appear in the Blacktown Local Court on Thursday.
