Man bashed with walking stick in Sydney

A 65-year-old man has been repeatedly punched, kicked and hit with a walking stick by a gang in northwest Sydney.
The man was walking near Riverstone train station about 9pm on Tuesday when he was punched in the face by another man, who later returned with a group of five people including at least one woman, police say.
The elderly man who has sustained a large gash to his forehead, a cut lip and swelling has been taken to Westmead Hospital for tests.
