Man arrested after siege in Sydney's west

A man has been arrested after a reported siege involving two hostages in Sydney's west.
Police were called to an address at Lyell Place, Cartwright, in the early hours of Monday where the 33-year-old man was said to be holding two woman hostage.
He was reportedly armed with a knife.

Police confirmed the siege ended peacefully about 9.15am (AEDT).
The alleged offender was arrested at the scene and taken to Green Valley police station.
