Man admits NSW father's burning murder

A man has admitted to murdering a young father found scorched next to a Newcastle road.

Wade Still, 23, was discovered by a taxi driver severely burned in grass at Whitebridge in August 2018. He died on the way to hospital.

David John McCauley, 36, pleaded guilty to Mr Still's murder on Friday in the NSW Supreme Court.

His case was adjourned until December 6, when a statement of agreed facts may be tendered.

Another man charged over Mr Still's murder, Troy McCosker, remains before the Supreme Court.
