Light rail for Sydney Olympic Park: report
AAP
NSW Premier Mike Baird is reportedly set to announce a light rail route from Parramatta to Strathfield via Sydney Olympic Park.
The announcement on Tuesday is likely to confirm the proposed line will run through Homebush.
Fairfax Media reported on Monday that the route has been funded by voluntary developer levies and may allow the government to construct a second line to Carlingford.

The announcement is expected to be made at the launch of a Deloitte report which sets out development targets for western Sydney.
An earlier report by the same group claimed the route could bring 38,000 jobs to the park and help construct a new precinct called Camellia.
