Katoomba RSL club roof collapses in fiery blaze

A fire at Katoomba’s RSL Club has caused the roof of the building to collapse.
Emergency services were called to Lurline Street at 1.30pm to find the building well alight, spewing large plumes of smoke.
About 50 firefighters are tackling the blaze, which has not spread to neighbouring properties.

The building was evacuated and police are diverting traffic away from the site.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said the fire, which is believed to have started in the kitchen of the RSL, is not being treated as suspicious.
