Sinodinos won't comment on ICAC reports

Federal cabinet minister Arthur Sinodinos is keeping mum on reports the NSW ICAC has cleared him.

The Australian newspaper reported on Thursday that the Independent Commission Against Corruption had advised Senator Sinodinos that no corruption findings have been made against him.

Senator Sinodinos later told AAP he "can't comment for legal reasons until report (is) finalised".

The Cabinet Secretary, reinstated under Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull last year, resigned as assistant treasurer under the Abbott government after his conduct came into question over donations to the Liberal Party by Australian Water Holdings of which he was deputy chairman.

The Australian said ICAC had also dropped a key allegation of fraud against Liberal lobbyist and former AWH boss Nick Di Girolamo, whose gift of a $3000 bottle of wine to NSW premier Barry O'Farrell eventually toppled him.

Mr Di Girolamo still faces a second allegation of conspiracy to defraud, however.

The NSW anti-corruption watchdog said on Thursday it would not comment on the matter as the submissions phase hadn't ended.

"The commission has invited further submissions from relevant parties in Operations Spicer and Credo as a result of recent changes to the ICAC's jurisdiction," an ICAC spokeswoman told AAP.

"The submissions phase has not been completed. When it has the commission will prepare and table a report to the NSW parliament detailing its findings."
