Hoon towing trailer hits cop car in Sydney

A man who was driving dangerously while towing a trailer has hit a police car during a pursuit in Sydney's west, before dumping the car and running off.

Police tried to pull over the driver on Friday night when they saw him driving dangerously in the Mount Druitt area but he failed to stop.

They chased the Commodore with the trailer, which then hit the front of an unmarked police car, before the driver managed to get away.

The car was later found dumped at nearby Blackett and police say the man, who is yet to be found, ran off.
