Three charged over brazen daylight shooting outside Sydney gym

Three men have been charged over a daylight shooting outside a gym in Sydney's south-west last year.

At about 8.30am on Friday, December 5, 2025, emergency services were called to the World Gym on Steer Road, Gregory Hills.

Police were told two men carrying pistols had approached a 48-year-old man outside the gym and fired 12 rounds at him.

The man was not injured and ran to safety, while the two alleged shooters fled in a red Range Rover SUV.

A short time later, the SUV was found at Macquarie Grove Road in Cobbitty.

Police allege they found clothing, masks, cloned number plates, and two pistols in bushland nearby.

At about 5am this Monday, March 30, police executed a search warrant in Parramatta.

They arrested a 40-year-old man and charged him with attempted murder and directing the activities of a criminal group.

At about 6.10am the same morning, police executed another search warrant in Burwood, where they arrested a 32-year-old man and charged him with multiple offences including attempted murder.

Both men were refused bail and will next appear in court on May 28.

At about 10am yesterday, police arrested a 38-year-old man in Silverwater and charged him with multiple offences including attempted murder.

He will face bail court today.

The investigation is ongoing.
