Girl indecently assaulted in Sydney park

A teenage girl has been indecently assaulted by a man who kissed her on the lips as she walked to school in Sydney.

The 16-year-old was walking through Cowells Lane Reserve in Ermington, near Kissing Point Road, about 9am on Wednesday when the man approached her.

"The girl attempted to leave the area. However, the man stopped the girl and allegedly indecently assaulted her by kissing her on the lips," police said on Thursday.

She walked to her high school, where she met a friend who drove her to report the incident to police.
