Fatal crash in Sydney's Mt Druitt

A man has been charged following investigations into a fatal crash on NSW's north coast a few months ago.

Police allege the driver of a Holden Colorado was driving dangerously about 30 kms north of Grafton on August 26 when he smashed, head-on, into a Ford Falcon, killing its 44-year-old driver.

The 19-year-old Holden driver and his 19-year-old female passenger were taken to Lismore Base Hospital in a serious condition.

Police charged the man on Friday with dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning death and negligent driving.

He is set to face Grafton Local Court on February 26, 2018.

Meanwhile, a 28-year-old man has died after his car crashed into a tree in Mt Druitt in Sydney's west on Saturday morning.
