A toddler is in hospital after he was attacked by a dog in Sydney's southwest.
Police say the 23-month-old was bitten in the lounge room of a Cartwright home about 7.30pm on Monday and suffered significant wounds to one side of his face.
His mother took him to Liverpool Hospital and police secured the family dog before council rangers took it away.
