DV survivors offered free training in NSW
AAP
Survivors of domestic and family violence will be offered free vocational training by the NSW government.
The scheme will be open to survivors and their dependents over the age of 15 from July 1, if they have a recommendation letter from a domestic and family violence service.
"Having a stable and fulfilling job is a crucial step in gaining financial independence, which is important for people who have left a violent relationship," minister for the prevention of domestic violence Pru Goward said on Friday.
