Driver tries to flee NSW crash scene

A man has been arrested after allegedly trying to flee the scene of a NSW Central Coast crash leaving his passenger trapped in their vehicle.

The 23-year-old driver crashed into a stationary truck at road works in Berkeley Vale on Thursday night, police say.

When emergency services arrived they found a 25-year-old male passenger trapped, with the driver allegedly trying to run but he was arrested.

Both men suffered leg injuries, with the 25-year-old man taken to Gosford hospital in a stable condition.

No charges have been laid but police are still investigating.
