Disqualified NSW driver caught over limit

A man who was banned from driving until 2046 has allegedly been caught drink-driving nearly five times the legal limit on the mid-north coast of NSW.

Police say the 40-year-old recorded a blood alcohol reading of 0.231 when he was stopped by highway patrol officers in Taree on Saturday night.

He was charged with a string of offences including driving an unregistered vehicle and contravening an AVO and is due to appear in Taree Local Court on Sunday.
