Coroner findings into Bill Crews shooting death due

A NSW coroner is expected to hand down his findings on the shooting death of a Sydney police officer, who was killed during a botched drugs raid five years ago.
Constable Bill Crews was 26 years old and a new recruit to the NSW Police Middle Eastern Organised Crime squad when he was shot during a 2010 raid in the basement car park of a western Sydney unit block.
Small-time drug dealer Philip Nguyen was jailed in 2013 for his manslaughter.
Nguyen had taken a hit of heroin or ice on the night of September 8, 2010, and was the first to open fire as police officers descended the stairs to the car park.
An inquest into Const Crews' death previously heard the young recruit was fatally shot by a fellow officer.
NSW State Coroner Michael Barnes, who presided over the inquest, is expected to deliver his findings on Monday morning at Glebe Coroner's Court.
