Sydney tattoo parlour shot and torched

Bullet holes have been discovered at a tattoo parlour that was torched in Sydney's west.

Police say they are trying to establish links between shots fired at the Rooty Hill business and a blaze just before 4am on Tuesday.

A car was rammed into the shop and it was well alight before emergency crews arrived.

A crime scene examination uncovered numerous bullet holes in the front roller shutter and spent cartridges were found on the road, although it's unknown when the shots were fired.

Police say no one was in the vehicle or the building during the blaze.
