Bulldogs forward in police custody

A promising NRL player who failed to show up to court after a drink-driving charge has been remanded in custody.

Canterbury player Herman Ese'ese, 20, was charged with mid-range drink-driving in February.

His hearing was earlier this month but when the NRL forward was a no-show an arrest warrant was issued.

He turned himself into Campsie police station and is due to appear in Burwood Local Court on Thursday.

Ese'ese made his NRL debut last weekend against Manly.
