Brothel workers accused of hammer attack

Two male workers at an inner-west Sydney brothel have been accused of bashing a younger employee with a hammer.

Police allege the two men assaulted the 21-year-old man and held him captive in the Burwood brothel for half an hour on Monday morning.

They are also accused of stealing money and a credit card from his wallet.

The victim suffered minor injuries but did not need to treated in hospital.

Police on Wednesday arrested two males aged 26 and 24 at the brothel and seized a hammer, CCTV footage and documents.

The two men were charged with intent to rob with an offensive weapon and refused bail to appear before Burwood Local Court on Wednesday.
