Brazilian woman charged over coke stash
AAP
A young Brazilian woman who allegedly tried to smuggle 8kg of cocaine in her suitcase on a flight from Chile to Sydney will remain in custody.
Suellen Dos Santos Nascimento, 23, arrived at Sydney Airport on April 9 and Australian Border Force officials say x-ray images of her baggage revealed three packages containing a white powder, believed to be cocaine, hidden in the suitcase lining.
Nascimento was charged with importing a commercial quantity of a border-controlled drug and on Thursday in Sydney's Central Local Court a hearing was adjourned to June.
