A Sydney woman has been pulled from a burning house after her boyfriend and neighbours kicked in the back door.

Neighbours had attempted to break in about 11.30pm on Thursday night when they saw smoke coming from the house, before her boyrfriend arrived, police say. The 25-year-old woman was found on the floor of the house in Fairfield, in Sydney's west.

The woman suffered minor burns, and she and her 25-year-old boyfriend were taken to hospital for smoke inhalation. The house suffered significant internal damage.
