Boy dies after being hit by 4WD in Sydney

An eight-year-old child has died after being hit by a four-wheel drive in Sydney's northwest.
The boy was riding his bike when he collided with a 4WD at the intersection of Paddock Street and Capertree Street, The Ponds last night.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics but died in Westmead Children's Hospital a short time later.

The driver is assisting police.
Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Quakers Hill Police.
